Producers of CW’s “Arrow” To Write Green Arrow Comics

We may now be entering a world where Nick is tempted to purchase a DC comic, as the newly announced creative team for the Green Arrow comic is none other than Andrew Kreisberg and Ben Sokolowski. Kreisberg and Sokolowski are most notably producers on The CW’s hit series Arrow. They’ll be taking over from current creative team Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino effective in October with issue #35 of the book.

For those worried Comic Book Ollie will start immediately becoming TV Ollie, fret not. While talking with Hero Complex, Kreisberg said:

I think the version Ben and I are going for now is an amalgamation of the TV version and his comic book persona. As our TV partner, Greg Berlanti, puts it, at his core, Oliver is an optimist. He believes in people. On the TV show, that optimism is buried under years of torture and suffering, but it’s still there. In the comics, he’s been a bit more fun, a bit faster with a quip, so we are trying to add some of that zest for life.

So yeah. This is a bit exciting.

Trae Dorn

Trae Dorn has been staffing conventions for over twenty-five years. They also wrote and drew the now completed webcomic UnCONventional, and produce the podcasts BS-Free Witchcraft, On This Day With Trae, Stormwood & Associates, The Meatgrinder, and The Nerd & Tie Podcast. This leads many to ask how the heck they have the time to get it all done. Trae says they have the time because they “do it all quite poorly.”

Sad to see Jeff Lemire go. He’s one of DC’s few real talents.
