Power Rangers reboot gets a release date

July 22, 2016. That’s right, I said July 22, 2016. On that day, the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers reboot will come to theaters. And all will be well. Or not. It depends on whether or not it’s any good. But at least we know when it’s going to happen.

As Screenrant points out, it’s entering a crowded field:

With a July 22, 2016 release date, Power Rangers finds itself competing directly against Warner Bros.’ King Arthur on the same weekend. July is a typically a busy summer month and moviegoers will also have Independence Day 2, an unannounced film from Marvel (we guess Doctor Strange), Universal’s Bourne 5 and the third Planet of the Apes film from Fox all in theaters around the same time.

So yeah. That’s what we know.
