John Scalzi’s “Old Man’s War” Book Series to be Adapted by Syfy

John Scalzi’s military science fiction series “Old Man’s War” book series is being adapted into a TV series for Syfy. Titled “Ghost Brigades” (after one of the other books in the series), the series is being adapted by Scott Stuber and Wolfgang Petersen. The pilot is being written by Jake Thornton and Ben Lustig (Scalzi himself will executive produce), and if all goes well the show will materialize somewhere in 2016.

Honestly, it will be nice to see some honest to goodness space opera on television again.

This isn’t Scalzi’s first show to be adapted, as FX is currently putting together a series based around Scalzi’s book “Redshirts.”
