It’s Not a Joke, the Tetris Movie is Coming

In news that hurts my brain, the BBC is reporting that a film adaptation of the video game “Tetris” is in the works.

Let’s just let that sink in for a minute.

They want to make what is being described as a science fiction epic based on a video game that is literally just about falling blocks. Even the board game “Battleship” made more sense to adapt into a film than this. This is like making “Checkers: The Movie.” If your ears are bleeding now, we apologize.

This is an idea so ludicrous it’s been repeatedly been done as a joke time and time again. Want to make a fake video-game movie trailer? Tetris! Because the concept itself makes no sense.

And with that I leave you with my two favorite fake-trailers for what is now going to be a real movie. And then I’m going to cry a lot.
