Wonder Woman to have New 52 Origin in “Batman v Superman”
For all of those hoping Wonder Woman would retain her classic “made of clay” origin story, I’m sorry to break it to you but it looks like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Man This Film Needs a Better Name will use the New 52 “daughter of Zeus” background.
Personally, I’m disappointed but not surprised. DC editorial has shown distaste for the (more complicated but frankly a lot cooler) dude-free background, so it only makes sense that the movies will reflect the current canon.
But it’s still really stupid.

There’s no good way to do this. While having the feminist superhero’s powers come from her daddy is… problematic at best, that old origin was really terrible.
