‘Sleepy Hollow’ Surprisingly Gets Renewed

I really was convinced this show was going to get the axe this year, but it looks like FOX is willing to give Sleepy Hollow a third season. The news hit yesterday, but who will be the new showrunner (since the old one quit) is still up in the air.

In all likelihood what saved the series came down to demographics and future resale value of the series. A genre show like Sleepy Hollow is an easy sell for future syndication, and the breakdown of fans is very similar to a certain other urban fantasy series which has done quite well over the years. *cough*Supernatural*cough*

In truth though, a lot of the Season 2 retooling didn’t really work though, so hopefully whoever takes over the series returns us to the style of Season 1.

I mean, I can always hope.
