‘Constantine’ Officially Gets Cancelled By NBC

Constantine has been in a precarious position for a while, not having done the ratings that NBC had hoped for. Of course, since the show had the Friday night death slot, I’m not sure what they expected… but I don’t work in network television.

Sadly though, the news came via a tweet from showrunner Daniel Cerone that Constantine will not be seeing a second season on NBC earlier today.

Cerone apparently is trying to shop the show around to keep it going, and while I wish him the best of luck — the odds are slim.

It’s too bad really – Constantine was a pretty decent show even if it was too afraid to portray its lead as bisexual (as John is in the comics). I really enjoyed it, and am sad to see it go.

This leads many to ask how the heck they have the time to get it all done. Trae says they have the time because they “do it all quite poorly.”
