Chiwetel Ejiofor Will Play Baron Mordo in ‘Doctor Strange’

We’ve known for a while that Chiwetel Ejiofor was cast in Marvel’s forthcoming adaptation of Doctor Strange, but it’s been a mystery who exactly he was playing in the film. We’ve had a lot of questions about this whole thing: Was he a good guy? Was he going to play the villain? Where are my car keys?

Well, it looks like we finally know the answers (except the whole car keys thing – those are still missing) as Deadline now reports that Ejiofor will be playing Baron Mordo.

Baron Mordo first appeared in 1963, and (like Doctor Strange) was mentored by The Ancient One (who is being played by Tilda Swinton in the film), and later tried to kill him… or in this case her? Who knows how closely we’re going with the source material here.

In any case, I guess we’ll all find out when Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4, 2016.
