Independence Day 2 is Now ‘Independence Day Resurgence’

Independence Day 2 is slowly marching forward to its inevitable release, and thanks to a live stream yesterday, we can finally stop just calling it that. The film is now, officially, Independence Day Resurgence… or Independence Day: Resurgence. I’ve seen it both ways.

Why not just leave it at Independence Day 2? Because we apparently now live in a world where you can’t just give sequels numbers and be done with it. Also, no one is sure whether or not to use a colon, so it’s super confusing.
