‘Arrow’ Producers Really Want a Constantine Appearance

Look, Constantine got cancelled, and that sucks. We were pretty fond of that show here at Nerd & Tie, and were sad to see it go.

But that may not be the last we’ve seen of Matt Ryan as John Constantine.

You see, the people behind Arrow want to bring Constantine into the CW’s DC TV Universe (or Arrowverse as many have dubbed it). Stephen Amell has made previous comments about this, as has Arrow Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim.

Well Arrow Executive Producer Wendy Mericle has also expressed the desire, as she and series star Stephen Amell told IGN:

“Yeah, we really want to do it,” said Mericle. “It’s something we’ve been talking to DC about and it’s just a question of some political things, but also the actor’s schedule. We’re trying to work it out, but we don’t know 100 percent if it’s going to happen.”

“Fingers crossed,” added Amell.

“But we’re really optimistic and we would love to have him,” said Mericle.

The appearance would make sense, as Arrow will be diving more and more into the mystical side of it’s world in the upcoming season — so I hope it happens.

Because I need more Constantine in my life.
