Doom’s BFG 9000 Has Been Recreated in LEGO

The original Doom and its follow up Doom 2 are major parts of my formative teenage years. This is, of course, because I’m old. The most powerful weapon in these games is, of course, the BFG 9000. I mean, four shots from this thing can take down a Cyberdemon. You heard me, a Cyberdemon.

Man, I need to go back and play that game again.

Anyway, some guy calling himself “ZaziNombie” has recreated this piece of my childhood entirely out of LEGO, and it looks amazing. The replica, besides looking cool, weights a hefty 20 lbs, is about three feet long, and is composed of over five thousand pieces.

The thing is friggin’ impressive to say the least. I mean just watch the video and try to tell me you don’t want one of these sitting on a shelf in your office.

I know I do.
