The Trailer for Stephen King’s ‘Cell’ Looks Interesting

Based off of Stephen King’s 2006 novel of the same name, I’m not really sure if Cell is an interesting new take on the zombie genre or a paranoid luddite’s rant against the evils of technology. Based on the trailer that dropped this week, it’s actually pretty hard to tell. Of course, it’s entirely possible that the film is both

In any case, it stars John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson, and looks like it might actually be pretty fun. I mean sure, it’s another frigging zombie property being shoved at us, but at least it’s a bit different than your typical story in the genre.

In any case, Cell comes to theaters on July 8, 2016.
