Dan Harmon’s ‘HarmonQuest’ Brings Us Animated Tabletop RPG Greatness

If you like the D&D sessions that usually accompany Dan Harmon’s Harmontown podcast, then you’re going to love digital network Seeso‘s new series HarmonQuest. Somewhere between your typical RPG campaign podcast, Celebrity Game Night and the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon from thirty years ago, HaronQuest sees the creator of Community and Rick and Morty and celebrity friends’ tabletop RPG sessions animated to humorous effect.

I’ve embedded the trailer below, and the first episode is available on Amazon for free right now.

Is it funny? Yes. Is it worth paying the four bucks a month for another streaming service? I honestly don’t know. I mean, between all the random streaming services out there, it’s hard to justify another one for just one or two shows.

But hey, if you’re willing to take the leap, this thing looks pretty entertaining.

They also wrote and drew the now completed webcomic UnCONventional, and produce the podcasts BS-Free Witchcraft, On This Day With Trae, Stormwood & Associates, The Meatgrinder, and The Nerd & Tie Podcast. This leads many to ask how the heck they have the time to get it all done. Trae says they have the time because they “do it all quite poorly.”
