No New ‘Daredevil’ or ‘Jessica Jones’ Until at Least 2018

Netflix’s corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been pretty resoundingly well received by the fandom, with one season of Jessica Jones and two seasons of Daredevil under its belt. But with so many series in production (as the cumulative franchises head towards The Defenders) and only so much room on the calendar, the question about when we’d see more of the already released series has been floating in the air.

Well, the good news is that season three of Daredevil and season two of Jessica Jones are still on track — but the bad news is that we won’t see them (or The Punisher) until at least 2018.

It makes perfect sense when you look at the schedule though, as Luke Cage comes out this fall, and Iron Fist and The Defenders coming in 2017. Netflix has been pretty clear that they want to put out two Marvel seasons a year, and this sticks with their pattern.

And with the quality of what we’ve gotten, is it such a terrible burden to wait?
