The ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ Trailer Sure is Planet of the Apes-y

Well there sure are a lot of new trailers out this week. I mean, it’s to be expected, as all the studios want their trailers to run in front of Rogue One, but still.

The latest is today’s new trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes, yet another installment in the rebooted Apes franchise most of us forgot was coming. I mean, don’t get me wrong — I thoroughly enjoyed Dawn and will go see this one too. It’s just that there are so many “blockbusters” to try to keep track of these days, it’s kind of hard.

Anyway, Andy Serkis is back as Caesar, and as always it looks like he’s going to deliver an amazing performance. I mean, it’s going to be a bunch of apes fighting humans, and at this point I’m pretty sure we’re the bad guys. I mean, it certainly seems that way at least.

War for the Planet of the Apes comes out on July 14, 2017.
