So Marvel’s Twitter Totally Got Hacked

So most of us know to keep our heads on straight about cyber sercurity these days. Use unique passwords, two factor authentication… heck, I just had to change the password on a DailyMotion account I haven’t used since 2007 because of a hack. The truth though is that a determined hacker can pretty much break into any commercial account if they’re willing to put the time in. It’s just inevitable. With that in mind, it’s still pretty funny whenever a big name company that in theory pays scores of people to keep their stuff safe, has something harmless get broken into like their Twitter account.

Which happened to Marvel today.

Hackers took over multiple official accounts, as well as Netflix’s twitter as well. The following message was left on the offical Marvel Twitter:

I know I shouldn’t laugh, as this could happen to anyone (heck — it could happen to us if someone tried hard enough), but it’s still funny to think about. I mean, it’s a Twitter account — it just causes someone a headache.

I mean, unless they were using those passwords elsewhere
