‘Twin Peaks’ Season 3 Finally Has a Release Date

The revival of David Lynch’s classic, genre-defying series Twin Peaks on Showtime has been in the works for a couple of years. We’ve seen Lynch leave the project, come back to the project, and get its order extended from nine episodes to eighteen.

We originally expected the show to premiere sometime in 2016, but (if you haven’t looked at a calendar lately) that didn’t exactly happen. Those of us who have been waiting for more of the series (and a damn fine cup of coffee) have been held in suspense, not knowing the next time we’d meet Agent Cooper.

Well, the good news is Showtime has finally announced when the show will premiere – and that would be May 21st at 9:00PM EST. While it’s still several months away, it just feels soon now that there’s a concrete date.

And sooner is better than later when you’ve been waiting this long.
