Hulu Orders Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ to Series

Well, it’s official – Hulu will now have their own Marvel property. Deadline is reporting that the streaming service has ordered Marvel’s Runaways to series.

Runaways is about six children of supervillains who literally run away. Based off the comic by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, a film was originally being developed intended for release way back in the MCU’s Phase 2 set of films, but was scrapped to refocus the film series on the Avengers.

Hulu announced they were developing Runaways for television back in August, when they commissioned a pilot. The cast looks pretty amazing for the show, and I think it will be an entertaining addition to the superhero television landscape.

Runaways is expected to premiere in 2018.

Trae Dorn has been staffing conventions for over twenty-five years. They also wrote and drew the now completed webcomic UnCONventional, and produce the podcasts BS-Free Witchcraft, On This Day With Trae, Stormwood & Associates, The Meatgrinder, and The Nerd & Tie Podcast. This leads many to ask how the heck they have the time to get it all done. Trae says they have the time because they “do it all quite poorly.”
