Fox Renews ‘Gotham’ and ‘Last Man on Earth’

Fox made two big renewals today – one of which we’re pretty excited about, and the other we’re just kind of indifferent on at this point. Those two shows, of course, are Last Man on Earth and Gotham.

To be fair, we kind of expected Gotham to come back another season, even if we’re not big fans of the show. I’m honestly not sure exactly who is watching the show still, but the ratings show that someone is. I guess it kind of goes to show that regardless of something’s quality, if it’s Batman-adjacent, people will pay attention.

Last Man on Earth, on the other hand, we’re really happy about. I’ll go so far to say that it’s the best post-Apocalyptic show currently on the air (take that AMC). The idea that we’ll get to spend more time with the wacky band of survivors is pretty damn exciting.

The network already renewed Lucifer and picked up Marvel’s The Gifted, so even with Sleepy Hollow ending, the network has a pretty solid genre lineup for next year. I mean, even if one of those shows is Gotham.
