If the Second Trailer Tells Us Anything, ‘The Gifted’ May Actually Be Pretty Decent

One of the more interesting superhero television shows that’s been in the pipe for a while is The Gifted, which is set in Fox’s X-Men movie universe… somewhere. I mean, it’s a world where the X-Men and the Brotherhood both existed at some point, but may have gone underground… or gotten wiped out… or something?

Anyway, the show focuses on a couple of parents going (played by Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker) on the run with their mutant children (Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White). They get involved with a mutant underground while the government hunts them. Frankly, it just looks pretty neat. We got a trailer for the show back in May, but now the network has put out a second.

And you know what? It looks pretty damned good.

I mean, for what you can tell from a trailer.

The Gifted premieres October 2nd on Fox.

This leads many to ask how the heck they have the time to get it all done. Trae says they have the time because they “do it all quite poorly.”
