The New Trailer for Netflix’s ‘Bright’ is Full of Elves, Orcs, and Explosions

Another trailer dropped for Bright this week, and Netflix’s first foray into blockbuster film making continues to look really, really good. It hits the same notes that we’ve seen in earlier promotional materials for the film.

Will Smith plays a cop who gets assigned an Orcish partner (played by Joel Edgerton). There’s tension between them (as there’s an obvious racism allegory happening with the Orcs), and the two run across someone with a magic wand. A magic wand is, apparrently, “like a nuclear bomb that grants wishes.”

So, y’know, a little bit of a big deal.

This is the most I’ve ever been excited about a David Ayer film in my life. I mean, it’s a buddy cop modern fantasy film — we haven’t exactly seen that before. Getting something new out of Hollywood apparently took a streaming service.

Bright hits Netflix on December 22nd.

This leads many to ask how the heck they have the time to get it all done. Trae says they have the time because they “do it all quite poorly.”
