Sorry, But Disney Probably isn’t Buying Fox

The internet went crazy over the last few days with when the news broke that Disney was in talks to purchase most of 20th Century Fox. The idea that the X-Men and Fantastic Four could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe was enticing, and it would consolidate the rights to the original Star Wars trilogy under one roof.

Unfortunately, it’ll probably never happen.

Bloomberg is reporting that while the two companies had been in talks, those talks have now fallen apart. So while there was a point where this pop culture merger could have moved forward, we are no longer living in a world where that’s a likelihood.

It was interesting to think about for a while though.

A Message From Future Trae: Have we ever been more wrong about a news story?

Trae Dorn

Trae Dorn has been staffing conventions for over twenty-five years. They also wrote and drew the now completed webcomic UnCONventional, and produce the podcasts BS-Free Witchcraft, On This Day With Trae, Stormwood & Associates, The Meatgrinder, and The Nerd & Tie Podcast. This leads many to ask how the heck they have the time to get it all done. Trae says they have the time because they “do it all quite poorly.”
