‘A Wrinkle in Time’ Continues to Look Stunning in its New Trailer

Disney’s adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s novel A Wrinkle in Time is coming to theaters pretty soon, and the studio has released a UK trailer for the film. Honestly I’m not sure what to say about the film at this point beyond “It looks gorgeous…”

So, uh — it looks gorgeous.

This trailer has a little more emotional force behind it moreso than the wonder filled US trailer, but it’s still just a stunning thing to look at. I have pretty high hopes for this movie, so I’m crossing my fingers that Disney won’t let us down.

A Wrinkle in Time comes to theaters March 9, 2018.

The New Trailer For ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ Looks Stunning

The new trailer for A Wrinkle in Time has dropped. With a solid cast, and some brilliant visuals, it looks pretty danged amazing.

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle is probably one of the stranger books from some of our childhoods. Disney’s film adaptation has been in the works since 2010, but didn’t really kick into gear until 2014 when Frozen‘s Jennifer Lee was brought onboard. It’s certainly a unique story with some unique and pretty demanding visuals, so it will be interesting to see if the adaptation holds up to the original.

Frozen’s Jennifer Lee adapting ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ for Disney

If I had to pick one of the strangest books from my childhood, one of them would most likely be A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle. But Disney bought the rights to adapt it back in 2010, and while things started out promising, the projects stalled.

Well, until now.

With the success of Frozen, Jennifer Lee (who wrote the screenplay and co-directed the film) had pretty much her choice of projects at Disney… and this is what she picked.

Once Lee completes the screenplay, it’s unclear where the project will go next – whether she’ll be retained to direct it or if it will be handed off to someone else. Either way, it should be interesting to see how closely she stays to the source material, considering how much Frozen deviated from The Snow Queen.

As long as Uriel is populated by cracked out centaur-ish creatures I’ll be okay with it though.
