When Amazon picked up Philip K Dick’s Electric Dreams to series last February we were obviously excited. I mean, it’s an anthology series based on the works of Philip K Dick and produced by Ronald D. Moore, Bryan Cranston and Michael Dinner.
It sounds pretty great.
Well, we now have our first trailer for the show, not through Amazon but via the Australian network Stan (which will also air the series). Of course, since the official Stan copy of the trailer is region locked, we’ve embedded someone else’s upload — so it may disappear at any moment.
Check it out while you can though, because this show looks really, really neat.
Amazon has now officially picked up science fiction anthology series Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams for a ten episode season. Executive Produced by Ronald D. Moore, Bryan Cranston and Michael Dinner, each episode will feature a different science fiction tale based on the short stories of Philip K. Dick.
The project, developed at Sony, was originally intended to air on AMC in the states, but was dropped by the network. Amazon picking it up makes perfect sense though, as they already have one series based on Dick’s work on air (The Man in the High Castle) and it gives them something to compete with rival streaming service Netflix’s Black Mirror.
