The Final ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ Trailer Is Full of Monkeys With Guns

The final trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes has dropped, and it is just full of monkeys with guns. I mean, that’s the message I’m getting here – if you want to see a movie about a bunch of monkeys with guns, this is the movie for you.

Okay, so they’re apes and not monkeys… but you get my point.

The revived Planet of the Apes franchise has been surprisingly good, and this newest installment doesn’t look like it’ll disappoint. It may be a little strange to be completely rooting against the humans this time around, but it’s clearly where the films have been heading for a while. I for one welcome our intelligent ape overlords.

War for the Planet of the Apes comes out July 14, 2017.

Caesar’s Looking for Vengeance in the New ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ Trailer

If there’s one thing I’ve gotten from the current Planet of the Apes films, it’s that humans are the bad guys. I mean it’s pretty obvious at this point, and I know that I’m rooting for Caesar. Frankly, the newest trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes definitely reinforces my allegiances at least.

Honestly, I didn’t think I would love this franchise when the revival was announced all those years ago, and War looks pretty solid so far. If this installment is as good as the previous two, I think most of us will be happy.

The ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ Trailer Sure is Planet of the Apes-y

Well there sure are a lot of new trailers out this week. I mean, it’s to be expected, as all the studios want their trailers to run in front of Rogue One, but still.

The latest is today’s new trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes, yet another installment in the rebooted Apes franchise most of us forgot was coming. I mean, don’t get me wrong — I thoroughly enjoyed Dawn and will go see this one too. It’s just that there are so many “blockbusters” to try to keep track of these days, it’s kind of hard.

Anyway, Andy Serkis is back as Caesar, and as always it looks like he’s going to deliver an amazing performance. I mean, it’s going to be a bunch of apes fighting humans, and at this point I’m pretty sure we’re the bad guys. I mean, it certainly seems that way at least.
