The Nerd & Tie Podcast

Episode 51 – Mostly American

On this episode of Nerd & Tie, it’s just Nick and Trae (as Pher had prior personal obligations and we couldn’t find a suitable third in time). We discuss Tom Holland’s casting as Spider-man, all the Ghostbusters news you can handle, a bunch of classic anime is finally getting a US release, and we delve deeply into the con scene.

How deeply? Well, Trae talks about his experiences at Oz Con in West Plains, MO, we talk about the apparent death of Saskatoon Blitz, we talk about Arthur Suydam’s antics at Montreal Comic Con, and we discuss the sexual harassment allegations leveled against Anime Matsuri’s co-founder.

So it’s a lot.

Trae Dorn

Trae Dorn has been staffing conventions for over twenty-five years. They also wrote and drew the now completed webcomic UnCONventional, and produce the podcasts BS-Free Witchcraft, On This Day With Trae, Stormwood & Associates, The Meatgrinder, and The Nerd & Tie Podcast. This leads many to ask how the heck they have the time to get it all done. Trae says they have the time because they “do it all quite poorly.”
