‘Power Rangers’ Reboot Pushed Back to 2017

The film reboot of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers was originally going to come out in theaters in July of 2016, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen now. Lionsgate, who is producing the film, has now announced that the film has been pushed back to January 13, 2017.

No explanation was given for the move, but it does move the release away from a lot of other big movies (Like a fifth Bourne movie and Ghostbusters). Not to mention the six months of extra time for production, this may give the film a better chance at success.

Of course, I’m still asking why this particular film is being made in the first place.
