Mark Dacascos Cast in Recurring Role on ‘Agents of SHIELD’
Mark Dacascos has been cast in a role on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. He’ll be playing “Mr. Giyera,” SHIELD’s head of security. It’s unclear how many episodes he’ll appear in, but the part in described as recurring.
Dacascos is well known for his role on Iron Chef America as “The Chairman,” but nerds may remember him from his character on The Middleman, The Crow TV series, and the only watchable scenes in Double Dragon. I’ve always liked him, and his martial arts pedigree (plus Agents of SHIELD being an action heavy show) means we’ll probably see a few awesome, onscreen fights because of this.
Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesday nights on ABC.
