You’re Using the Term “Mary Sue” Wrong

The term “Mary Sue” gets thrown around a lot when talking about women characters in fiction, but is anyone actually using it right? Where does the term come from? Is it even possible for a character like Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens or Furiosa from Mad Max: Fury Road to be a Mary Sue in the first place?

This leads many to ask how the heck they have the time to get it all done. Trae says they have the time because they “do it all quite poorly.”
