‘Supergirl’ Is Getting a Second Season

CBS’s Supergirl is one of our favorite new televisions shows this season here at Nerd & Tie. It’s bright, optimistic, and entertaining as heck. That said, as geeks who have been burned before, we’re always worried when it comes time for renewals of genre shows on major networks.

Well, needless to say, we all let a sigh of relief out today.

While technically nothing official’s been announced, while speaking at Deutsche Bank Media, Internet & Telecom Conference, CBS President Les Moonves pretty much stated that Supergirl is getting another season. Well, specifically he said:

We have about five new shows on this year. Of those five, I believe all five of them will be renewed, and we own four of them.

So while Supergirl wasn’t specifically called out, it’s kind of impossible to do the math any other way.

Personally I’m ecstatic about this – how about you?
