The First Trailer for ‘The Dark Tower’ is Very Much Here, And Very Much Real

To say it’s taken a while for The Dark Tower to make it to screens would be an understatement. The film adaptation of the Stephen King series has been in development as long as I can remember, and even once this iteration started moving forward, it’s faced continuous delays. Things look like they’re actually happening now though, and the first trailer for the film has been released.

It’s a pretty simple introduction to the series’s concepts, and I think a pretty good trailer. You also get to see Idris Elba being a complete badass, which is always a plus. What remains to be seen is if the film will ever get as weird as the books do… because those books do get super weird.

The Dark Tower comes out August 4th.
